Choosing authentic skincare in Bangladesh is not about luck — it is about checking the right signals before you pay. Use this 6-point checklist on any product.
1. Batch code + manufacture/expiry date
A genuine product has a printed, readable batch code and dates. For Korean products you can verify the manufacture date on checkcosmetic.net. A missing or scratched-off code is a red flag.
2. Importer invoice / paper trail
Legitimate imports come with an importer invoice. Ask the seller if they can prove the import. At TheSkinProof every product is invoice-verified — see how it works.
3. DGDA / banned-ingredient check
Make sure the product is not on the DGDA banned list and does not rely on mercury, high-dose hydroquinone or steroids. Run it through our authenticity checker.
4. Price in the real retail range
Counterfeits use prices far below the legitimate import cost to attract buyers. If it is dramatically cheaper than everywhere else, treat it as suspect.
5. The seller's accountability
Can you return it? Is there a guarantee? A seller that stands behind authenticity (like our 2× money-back guarantee) is safer than an anonymous page.
6. The ingredient list matches your skin
Authentic does not mean right for you. Match actives to your skin type — confused? Take the free skin quiz.

If checking all six feels like a lot, buy from a retailer that has already done it. Browse invoice-verified products on TheSkinProof, or read our deeper guide on products to avoid.
