Quick answer
Six months is enough time to fix almost anything that skincare can fix. Here is the month-by-month order, and the mistakes that cost brides the most.

Pigmentation takes 8–12 weeks to shift. Acne treatment takes 12 weeks to judge. Starting six months out means you can treat, assess, and still have a calm-skin buffer before the day.
1. Month 6–5 — diagnose and build a base
Identify your actual concern. Build a simple routine: cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen. Nothing aggressive yet.
2. Month 5–4 — introduce ONE active
Whichever matches your main concern. One only, so you know what works.
3. Month 4–3 — treatments, if any
This is the window for dermatologist procedures. Never closer than 8 weeks to the wedding.
4. Month 3–2 — assess honestly
If something has not worked in 12 weeks, it will not work in 4. Change it now, not later.
5. Month 2–1 — stabilise
No new products. No new salon treatments. Consistency only.
6. Final month — hydrate and protect
Barrier care only. This is when skin should look calm, not be undergoing change.
The three costliest mistakes
Starting a strong active in the final month. Trying a facial for the first time in the final weeks. And stopping sunscreen while treating pigmentation, which undoes the treatment.
