1. Pharmacies
Trusted for medicine, and often fine — but a pharmacy's licence covers drugs, not the import trail of an imported cosmetic. Many stock from the same local wholesalers as everyone else.
2. Shopping-mall counters
Presentation is not provenance. A branded counter can still be selling parallel-imported or diverted stock.
3. Marketplaces
Wide selection, highly variable sellers. The listing rarely tells you who imported the unit you will receive.
4. Facebook pages and live selling
The highest-risk channel, because there is no record after the chat ends and no platform-level refund path.
5. Brand-owned stores
The safest when they exist — but many international brands have no official presence in Bangladesh at all, which is precisely why the import question matters here.
The question that actually sorts them
Ask any seller, in any channel: *can you tell me the batch code and show that this batch was imported?* The answer sorts sellers far better than the shopfront does.
