Quick answer

Authenticity doesn’t start at checkout — it starts before a product is ever listed. Here are the 5 rules every seller must pass to sell on TheSkinProof, and why that protects you.

Want the authentic one? Every product on TheSkinProof is invoice-verified.

Most fake skincare doesn’t appear by accident — it gets in because the platform never checked the seller in the first place. TheSkinProof is built the opposite way: authenticity starts *before* a product is ever listed, at the source. That’s why a growing community of thousands of customers trusts it. Here’s exactly how strict the process is.

Authenticity starts at the source, not the shelf

On most marketplaces, anyone can open a page and list a product — no one verifies where it came from. That single gap is how counterfeits, grey-market stock and expired products reach buyers. (See Daraz & Facebook: real or fake and grey market vs official.)

TheSkinProof closes that gap. To sell on the platform as a partner, a seller must prove authenticity before a single product is accepted — and we don’t compromise on it.

The 5 rules every seller must pass

1. Authentic / authorised products only. A seller may only list genuine, authorised products — never “first copy,” replica or unbranded stock. (Why that matters: original vs first copy.)

2. An importer sticker on every imported product. If a product is imported, every unit must carry the importer sticker — the physical proof that it entered Bangladesh through a legal, official channel rather than the grey market.

3. Invoice and full documents proving originality. The seller must hand over the product invoice and all supporting documents that prove the item is original and legally sourced. This is the paper trail behind being invoice-verified — no documents, no listing.

4. A sample is lab-checked first — and refunded if it passes. Before a product line is approved, the seller must send a sample. Our lab experts check the sample’s ingredients; if everything is found to be correct, the cost of that sample is refunded to the seller. A product that fails the ingredient check is rejected.

5. Approved stock is held in our warehouse. Once a sample passes, the seller sends the stock to TheSkinProof’s warehouse — so that no product can accidentally ship to a customer without first being verified and properly stored.

What happens after a seller passes

Passing seller onboarding is only the entry gate. Every individual order still goes through TheSkinProof’s documented 4-gate verification — invoice match, physical batch/seal inspection, ingredient & safety screening, and climate-controlled storage — and ships with a QR batch card you can check on the Product Checker. And it’s all backed by a 2× money-back guarantee if anything is ever proven counterfeit.

Why this protects you, the customer

Because the seller is verified *and* every order is verified, you’re not relying on a promise — you’re relying on a documented chain: authorised source → importer sticker → invoice → lab-checked sample → warehoused stock → per-order 4-gate check → 2× guarantee. That end-to-end strictness is why TheSkinProof is built to be the most trusted skincare store in Bangladesh. (Full picture: the complete authentic-skincare guide.)

Are you a seller? Become a verified partner

If you sell skincare and your products are genuine, you can sell through TheSkinProof as a partner. You’ll need to meet the 5 rules above — authentic/authorised products, importer stickers on imports, invoices and documents, a lab-checked sample, and stock sent to our warehouse. We want only real, authentic products in our customers’ hands, and we don’t compromise on that.

Frequently asked questions

How does TheSkinProof make sure every product is authentic?

Authenticity starts before a product is listed. Each seller must provide authorised/authentic products only, an importer sticker on every imported unit, the invoice and supporting documents, and a sample that is lab-checked for ingredients. Approved stock is then held in TheSkinProof’s warehouse, and every order passes a 4-gate verification before shipping, backed by a 2× money-back guarantee.

Can I sell my skincare products on TheSkinProof?

Yes, if your products are genuine. You must meet five requirements: authorised/authentic products only, an importer sticker on every imported product, the invoice and full documents proving originality, a sample sent for a lab ingredient-check (its cost is refunded if it passes), and stock sent to TheSkinProof’s warehouse. Apply on the Become a Seller page.

Does TheSkinProof test products in a lab?

Yes. Before a seller’s product line is approved, a sample is sent and its ingredients are checked by TheSkinProof’s lab experts. If the ingredients are found to be correct, the cost of the sample is refunded to the seller; a product that fails the check is rejected.

Why does TheSkinProof keep seller stock in its own warehouse?

So that no product can accidentally ship to a customer without first being verified and properly (climate-controlled) stored. Holding approved stock centrally keeps the per-order 4-gate verification and the 2× guarantee enforceable.

Does seller verification make counterfeit products impossible?

No process can bring the risk to zero, but verifying sellers and checking each batch makes mistakes far less likely. Having a clear way to report problems quickly is also part of that kind of model.

Do I still need to check anything myself if I buy through TheSkinProof's verified sellers?

Not really — products are matched against the import invoice and batch number before they're listed, so the main verification already happened. If you still want extra reassurance, you can scan the batch code yourself after delivery.
